How To Windproof a Match
Cut some grooves into the sides of your matches on a windy day, and the flame on your match will burn stronger.
Homemade Fire Extinguisher
100 years ago you had to make your own fire extinguisher.
Mix 1 pound of salt with 1/2 pound of of Ammonia.
Add this mixture to 2 liters of water and throw the mixture at the base of a fire.
Automatic Plant Watering
Fill a large container with water and set it above the plants you want to water.
Put a piece of yarn or rope in the water container.
Then rest the other end of the rope in the plants you want to water.
How To Remove a Splinter
Fill a jar 3/4 of the way up with hot water.
Then place your hand (or body part where splinter is lodged) over the opening, and allow the suction process to work.
After a few minutes, you should be able to pull out the splinter.
