In every bug out or prepping video you'll probably hear someone tell you to pack canned food. It lasts long, and it can keep your body going when getting fresh food is out of the question.
The one problem with canned food though, is how hard it is to open if you don't have a can opener.
And if SHTF the last thing you want to be known for is the guy who dodged all the zombies but starved to death because he couldn't open a sealed can.
How To Open a Can Without a Can Opener
Use Friction To Heat Lid
In the first step, you just need to rub the top of your can on a high friction surface like concrete.
You're going to want to do this for a few minutes or until you feel the aluminum get softer.
Use Pressure To Pop The Lid
Now squeeze the can on all angles like you're trying to get the contents to shoot out of the top.
You may need to spin it in circles while squeezing so you can ensure equal pressure on all sides.
