How To Make a Survival Whistle from a Soda Can

Yesterday we showed you how to make a survival lantern from a soda can. Since there are A LOT of things you can do with a soda can we're going to keep up the trend and show you how to make a survival whistle from a 12 ounce can.

Step 1 - Cut out a small square from your can.

Step 2 - Now cut two strips. A 2 inch strip and a 1 inch strip.

Step 3 - Make a cross out of the two strips.

Step 4 - Fold the two flaps of the cross in.

Step 5 - Use a Multitool or knife to create separation between the two pieces of foil.

Step 6 -  Fold the top over into an L shape.

Step 7 - Now bend the bottom piece up so you create a small circle.

Step 8 - Use your thumb and forefinger to close off where the air can escape from the sides.

Step 9 - Adjust the width of the opening until you have your whistle dialed in.
