What's In Your EDC Kit?

What's in your EDC kit aka Every Day Carry?

An EDC is an item or set of items that you have with you all of the time. Every Day Carry Kits will vary based on profession, and location. The things in your EDC do everything from making your life easier, to saving your butt if SHTF.

It's interesting to see the differences in people's EDC kits.  Here are some interesting ones, and the professions that go with them.

Do you have an awesome EDC? You can show it off in this Facebook thread.

My EDC’s are actually multiple and staged. I always have my Walther PPK/S in .380 as well as 2 spare mags in my Alien Gear Cloak Holster, A SOG Multitool and a Swiss Army Knife, and a Tactical Pen w/ Flashlight on me at all times. EDC 1 stays in my vehicle. Consists of some 72 hour food bars, water paks, pocket stove, fuel and SS cups to cook with. Cup of Soups and Oatmeal. A Small IFAK with Hemostatic components added. one 4" Israeli, tourniquet, chest seal and 14 ga Catheter. Also included are 50 rounds of .380ACP, flashlights, matches, lighter, headlamp and E-Blanket. A folding knife and a Spork and notebook with contacts and numbers, and my cell phone. Two 30rnd 5.56 mags are kept in my vehicle at all times as well. My EDC 2 kit is a little more complex. This is the kit that goes in my vehicle if I’m leaving the immediate environs of my home town. It consists of more instant food, a larger Med Kit, extra fuel, batteries, wet wipes, paracord, .240 rounds of 40 S&W ammo in a battlepak, 180 rounds of 5.56 ammo in a battlepak, two mags for my .40 and 2 more mags for my AR, compass, personal medications, more flashlights, personal hygiene kit, water filter, 1 qt canteen and other small items that I might need or want, and my HAM Radio handset. This along with my AR and .40 pistol go in my car if I’m leaving town for any reason. Both EDC kits and guns are locked in a panel in the rear of my SUV. If I’m going to be gone overnight or for an extended period, a sleeping bag, field jacket and a mass casualty Med Bag go with me as well.
